Westfield SE 1660cc
Nic's answer to a mid life crisis NOT! Been wanting one of these for much too long, should gain a few mods over the winter months in preparation for the 2006 ASWMC Autotest Championship, with plans to contest the MSA British Championship in 2007. The car will also be used for the occasional Sprint or Hillclimb event. |

Escort Mk2
1600
Ben's road/competition car a fairly standard Mk2 with 1600 crossflow, fitted with twin 40's. We have used this car on a couple of Autotests and Ben has used it at the Dunkeswell Sprint in 2005 and we shared the car for the Chivenor Sprint in Class A2, not competitive against the Lotus Elise's, but still a lot of fun. |

Subaru Impreza
Ben's other road/competition car which he has Sprinted on the odd occasion. With about 260bhp it was no slouch, but has now been sold. |

Peugeot 205 GTi 1600 This car was
bought for the final two rounds of the 2003 Autocross Championship after
the BMW became terminally ill. Other than adding the fire extinguisher,
mudflaps and the knobblies the car was completely standard. |

BMW 325i Rear Wheel Drive and lots of power, the ideal recipe for fun! Not your everyday autocross car, but so far has proved to be very competitive (well at least in Ben's hands). This car completed 8 of the 10 rounds before the cylinder head cried enough. Another donor car was purchased and the beast was back out again for 2004, only for the engine to blow yet again on its 3rd event of the year. Lack of time means the Beemer is on the back burner until another engine turns up. |

Autotest Mini 998cc The Mini has been in the family
since 1990 and has twice finished 2nd overall in the ASWMC Autotest
Championship (1991 & 1997). Nic rolled the car towards the end of
the1991 season and the car was rested for a while and then reshelled
in 1994. From mid 1991 the car was fitted with a modified 1046cc, which
gave the 1275's a good run for their money, this engine died on the
penultimate round of the 97 Championship, limping to the finish of the
last test, just 7.5 seconds short of the class win, which would have
sealed the championship. |
